Order of Christian Initiation

OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a process toward full sacramental initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) into the Roman Catholic Church.  This process is for those who have never been baptized, for those baptized in another Christian tradition wishing full communion with the Catholic Church, and for those fallen-away Catholics wishing to come home to the Church.

The OCIA process is also for children 7-17 years old who have not been baptized.

Formation sessions for children and adults are held weekly.

There will be an informal Information Night on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 6:30 pm in McKeever Hall for all those interested in learning more about the OCIA process.  Coming to this meeting in no way means a commitment to joining the Church.  It is simply the best way to learn more.

For more information, please contact Deacon John Hirnikl or Terri Bullock, Director of Religious Education, at 330-376-5144.
